Passing Of Retired Police Dog Dibble

Our biggest charity mascot RPD Dibble crossed over the rainbow bridge this week. He passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones.

RPD Dibble's handler Retired PS Steve Palmer puts it perfectly.

"Officer Dibble or Dibs as we affectionately called you, without a doubt you were a very special character.

British Transport Police first Mally, a rogue as a person scanning dog whose indication was to nip or even a full bite of the stooge, but a fantastic proactive search dog.

The nemesis of many a dog handlers suitability course candidate and especially their recall exercise.

You were an awesome specieman of your breed. A fantastic dog and best mate not only to me but all our family. You managed 13yrs 10months and 18 days and we were privileged to have had you for 12 of those years.

A massive part of our life and you leave us with a huge void but you also leave us with all the fantastic and amazing memories we made with you and all the great times we spent with together.

Dibble you wasn't just a dog. You was a Police Dog, my working partner, my best mate, a massive part of our family and loved by us all.

No more stressing buddy when i am shouting at the tv watching Rugby or Football.

We are going to miss that waggy tail when we come home mate and you nudging our hands for a fuss

We love you Dibble

REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND AND SLEEP WELL."

Rest Easy RPD Dibble
